Islam Roars Like A Lion



 

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8

Have you ever been in danger of being devoured by a lion? Have you ever, in real life, heard a lion roar? I've seen caged lions at the zoo, and I've seen lions on TV, but I've never been physically endangered by a real lion. However, I understand that the fear created by a lion's roar can actually immobilize its victim. 
 

Fear is the purpose of the lion's roar. The roar is meant to inspire a mind-numbing terror in the lion's intended victim which leads to a helpless, hopeless confusion and minimal resistance. This response makes the lion's prey easy to devour.

In the Holy Bible, Peter warns us about a roaring lion who goes about seeking victims to devour. He speaks not of a big cat, but of a far more diabolical enemy who wants to devour the soul, as well as the body of his victims. This is a dangerous lion indeed! In fact, Peter speaks of our oldest enemy, Satan!

Peter doesn't tell us what methods Satan will use against us and he doesn't describe the sound of the roar. But, he does tell us how to avoid being devoured. He tells us to "be sober and vigilant."

Peter was aware of the temptation to become drunk with the pleasures of the age and distracted by the cares of life. He knew it was easy to rest on the premise that someone else is on guard. So, Peter sounded a clear and personal warning. "You be sober. You be vigilant!"

The early Christians faced many lions. But, the sober, vigilant, early church was not devoured and continued to share the good news and grow stronger in spite of Satan's frequent roars. In fact, they "turned the world upside down" for Jesus.

 

By 800 A.D., churches dotted northern Africa, the Middle East, Europe and parts of Asia. And Satan was not pleased. (Many of the early churches are long gone, having been converted to mosques or destroyed by the followers of Islam.)

 

 

In Satan's view, there were too many crosses marring the skylines of the population centers. So, he came up with a truly diabolical plan. He would create a new religious totalitarian regime which would despise the Jews and would deny the truths of the faith taught by Christians.

 

 

Islam would deny that Jesus is the Son of God and present Him as a second rate prophet. It would deny that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to provide salvation by grace for all who would repent and believe in Him. It would deny that God even had a Son. And, this new religion would deceive many!

Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22
Satan's ingenious scheme was based on a bate and switch strategy. His new religion would base the legitimacy of its new prophet, Mohammad, and its new revelation, the Qu'ran, on its association with the Holy Bible-- since it was already believed by many to be the revealed Word of the True God. Then, Islam would use the Qu'ran to instruct its followers to reject the accuracy of the Bible, saying it has been corrupted. It would also teach Muslims to look down on, mistrust, and avoid friendship with Jews and Christians, from whom they might learn the truth.

To institutionalize religious bigotry, Islam would instill within its followers an arrogant sense of superiority based on nothing more than the word of their god, Allah. To instill pride and build group solidarity, it would require participation in rote prayers five times a day (spoken in Arabic) facing Mecca. It would also mandate good works to be performed to demonstrate submission to Allah.

 

And, finally, to replace the Christian's commission to share the goods news of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus, it would require its followers to fight to dominate the world by force.
Domination by force was actually Satan's primary goal in creating this totalitarian regime called Islam. Since Satan hates people and delights in making them submit to him, he used two methods to accomplish this goal. 

First, he loaded the Qu'ran with detailed threats of eternal punishments for the unbelievers, the hypocrtites and the infidels. And then he linked the fighting for Islam with booty in this life and the promise of salvation in the life to come. Those who died fighting for Allah (jihadi martyrs) would be guaranteed salvation and rewards. In fact, no Muslim other than a martyr could be assured of salvation since salvation would be based on works not grace.

That the Bible has been corrupted is a lie, of course. Thousands of copies of the Old and New Testament show remarkable preservation of the original texts for thousands of years-- far longer than Islam has existed! The Dead Sea scrolls testify to the accuracy of Jewish and Christian scriptures.

 

If you are Muslim, please stop relying on second hand information. Read the Bible for yourself and experience the living Word of God. Jesus died for your sins! You can know you are saved by grace if you put your trust and faith in Him!

 

By Satan's design, Islam is out to destroy Israel and the Western Nations. Muslims think they are meant to rule the world.

 

The very name, Islam, means submission. It denies freedom. Sharia law does not allow for a willing submission. Sharia law demands obedience which results in subjugation. Ask some of those Arab women imprisoned in black sheets how much freedom they have.

 

 

Islam claims to be for peace but peace for them means that everyone must honor them and submit to Islam. Don't be fooled. World domination is the agenda of Islam. Satan wants to be "like" God. He wants to be in control! He wants to rule the entire world! He wants everyone to submit to him! He is the Allah of Islam.

Jesus said, "Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy." And, that is a perfect description of Islam from its inception. The religion was born of Muhammad's sword. He consolidated a band of followers by raiding caravans: stealing, killing and destroying traveling merchants. Then he turned to the destruction of towns and villages throughout Arabia. And, when he died, his followers continued in his footsteps conquering (stealing, killing and raping) and destroying many countries and entire cultures. Look to history!

And, look around you today. The destruction and pillage continues throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa, as well as in Sudan, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and around the world!

Can you hear that roaring when Muslim jihadists explode bombs to terrorize societies they intend to dominate? The world could have heard the roar in Nigeria on Christmas of 2012-- if they were listening.
Can you hear the roaring when fundamentalist Muslims riot over contrived offenses? They seek death and destruction. Who has taught them to behave this way? Satan, in the Qur'an.


We must be sober and be vigilant in order to preserve the non-Muslim nations who are currently in danger of being devoured by Islam. We must speak the truth and refuse to be silenced by political correctness! Every voice for truth matters! Please don't remain silent. And, vote for those who stand for Truth.

But, the most important resistance is receiving Jesus Christ as your own personal Savior and sharing the good news of salvation by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ Who died in our place so we might live eternally with Him!

Don't let Satan devour you. Be sober! Be vigilant! Please put your trust in Jesus and invite others to do the same.

Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1Peter 5:9 NIV

 

Quran Has Not Replaced The Holy Bible

Islam teaches that the Quran has replaced the Bible. It also teaches that Jesus is coming again, not as KING of Kings and LORD of Lords, but as a prophet who will break crosses and destroy Christianity, even as he promotes Islam as the true religion and Allah as the true God. 

Does this Islamic teaching have any basis in reality? Is there any reason to believe it? Let's look at the facts. God inspired over 40 men, most of them prophets of Israel, to write The Holy Bible over a period of 1500 years. Without human collaboration, they wrote books which fit together to tell mankind the true story of their sinless creation, fall into sin, and Yehovah's eternal plan to save them. It contains many prophecies about the first coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ, which have been meticulously fulfilled, and there are hundreds to be fulfilled in the future. Yehovah inspired His Word and has preserved His Word. He has not allowed it to be corrupted or replaced.

"Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us.

And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement

as we wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled."

Romans 15:4 NLT

How can anyone believe that YEHOVAH,

The Great I AM,

Who says His Word is ETERNAL,

would change His name to Allah,

discard the Holy Bible, 

and replace it with an inferior

and contradictory message in the Quran?

A message which offers no savior

and no proposed hope of salvation other than Jihad.

The Quran was written in about 23 years based on the collected memories of those who had heard Muhammad speak. It talks about a Jesus but not the Jesus of the Bible. It does not include the multitude of prophecies about the birth, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus that were meticulously fulfilled at His first coming, or even mention those yet to be fulfilled. Unlike the Holy Bible, the Quran is not a prophetic book. The Quran does give an accurate view of history or the future because Allah is not Omniscient..

In contrast, YEHOVAH, Himself, in the Holy Bible, Book of Isaiah, said that He Knows the "end from the beginning" and He has shared things "yet to come" in His Word to prove it is true!

Jesus of Nazareth, the only begotten Son of God, warned us that many would come claiming to be Him but we should not be deceived. His Second Coming will be a worldwide event that none will mistake. He is returning as KING of Kings and LORD of Lords to rule this earth in peace for 1000 years before setting up His Eternal Kingdom of Righteousness.

Paul warned: "But even if we, or an angel from heaven,

should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you,

he is to be accursed!

As we have said before, so I say again now,

if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received,

he is to be accursed!"

Gal 1:8-9

Muhammad claimed that he received a new gospel from an angel.

We were warned not to fall for that.

I encourage you to put your trust in the real Jesus. 

He can save you from your sins and He wants to.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Slavery and Islam

If you want to learn about Islamic views on slavery and the historical practice of slavery in Islam and what the Qur’an teaches on the subject, I recommend starting with the Wikipedia article Islamic views of Slavery or Slavery in the Quran.   This Wikipedia article has in-depth coverage of Islamic views on slavery. It discusses 1400 years of the practice of slavery in Islam. It mentions the number of verses in the Quran dealing with slavery and many laws regulating slavery under Sharia Law.

It talks about the racist aspect of slavery in Islam which led to the freeing of Arab slaves by Muslims in Arabia. It says this practice actually led to the enslavement of more people outside of Arabia to keep up with the demand for slaves in Arabia– which is horrible because so many died during the capture and transport process.

It explains that Islam allows for sexual exploitation of slave women (based on the Quran) and notes that 2 female slaves were imported into Muslim countries for every male slave because of that practice while noting that most slaves shipped across the Atlantic were males because they were needed for plantation work.

It quotes Islamic scholars who justify the enslavement of Non-Muslims even today.

David Livingston is mentioned as a witness to the enslavement of blacks in Africa in the late 1800s. (I just finished reading David Livingston’s Final Journals and he gives detailed accounts of the murder and destruction engaged in by Arab Muslim Slavers in their African slave trade.)

Approximately 17 million Africans were enslaved by the Arab Muslims and many more millions (perhaps 85 million) perished in the process.

The number who perished seems hard to believe; however, it is based on eye witness accounts of capture events. Often, more natives perished in the slaving forays than were captured. Add to this the fact that most African males captured suffered radical castration. The procedure killed 80 to 90% of its victims from blood loss. Also, huge numbers of captives died from diseases to which they lacked immunity. Many perished from maltreatment during transport. And, finally, some actually died of heartbreak. David Livingston said many Africans died from nothing other than broken hearts when they were taken from their homes and families.

I am also reading a book called Captives, about the Barbary Pirates who enslaved over one million Europeans– also mentioned in the Wikipedia article. Untold millions more Europeans and Asians were enslaved throughout the centuries of Islamic colonialism.

Muslims claim the Qur'an values human rights because some verses in the Quran mention setting a slave free to redress a wrongdoing by a Muslim, but setting a slave free is only possible if one owns slaves and the Qur'an encourages owning slaves.

Another verse cited as humanitarian for forbidding the prostituting of slave girls ends by saying, but if you do, Allah is merciful! That ending annuls the prohibition and actually encourages the sexual exploitation of slaves by mentioning it.

Let’s look at some more verses from the Qur’an on the subject of slavery:

Qur’an (33:50) – “O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those (slaves) whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee”

This verse has Allah allowing sex slavery.

Qur’an (23:5-6) – “..who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess…”

Qur’an (4:24) – “And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.”

This verse allows for the rape of married women captured in war. Some of the women Muhammad, himself, freed from slavery and took as wives were war captives. He killed their husbands the very day he enslaved them, freed them, and then married them. That is not benevolent behavior. Think how painful that would be for a woman– if you can even imagine it.

Muslims have no abolitionists among them. Islamic slavery has been slowed and limited and even outlawed in some of their countries because of Western human rights activists– and for no other reason. Islam still endorses the enslavement of Non-Muslims and some Muslim countries still practice slavery openly today.

In contrast, Jesus said,

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,   Luke 4:18

Thus, Christians have an example in Jesus, and a teaching against slavery. In early America, some nominal Christians transgressed that prohibition, but Christians have historically stood for freedom and many great abolistionists have arisen from their ranks.

AntiChrist Spirit of Chrislam

As a follow up to my blog about the Quran, I want to address the heresy abroad in the world today known as Chrislam. It started in Nigeria, Africa and is currently being embraced by churches from many denominations and spread across America. While uniting people of different faiths may seem to be an honorable mission, the resulting apostasy is not. Believers cannot be successfully yoked with unbelievers without abandoning the faith.

What is Chrislam? As the name implies, it is an attempt to blend Christianity and Islam into a single religious belief system. Is this possible? It is not possible without sacrificing truth and promoting error!

While Chrislam requires compromise in many areas, I want to focus this blog on just a few: The incarnation which is revealed through the divine Sonship of Jesus Christ; the crucifixion of Jesus which saves us from our sins; and the resurrection of Jesus which guarantees our future resurrection to live and reign with Him eternally. These doctrines are the heart of the Gospel and are rejected by the Quran.

The Quran includes many references to a prophet named Isa [Jesus].  And it records his birth to a virgin named Maryam [Mary]. It even calls him a Messiah-- but not one who saves from sin! So, Muslims would like for Christians to accept that this Jesus is the same Jesus revealed in the Bible, but their teachings say otherwise.

The Muslim Jesus is not the Son of God! The Quran repeatedly denies that Allah has a son. And it says specifically that Isa (Jesus) is not the son of Allah!

Quran: Sura 6:102 “The originator of heavens and earth! How can He have a child, when there is for Him no consort?”

Sura 112:1-4 “Proclaim, 'He is the One and only GOD. The Absolute GOD. Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten. None equals Him.”

Islam presents Jesus as a mortal prophet who denies a divine relationship with Allah and proclaims the future coming of Muhammad, The Prophet of Allah. And Islam says Jesus had a beginning, he was created like Adam.”

Quran: Sura 5, section 16, verse 119, reads: “And behold! Allah will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, “Worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God”? He will say: “Glory to thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say)..."

Sura 61:6 And (remember) when ‘Jesus, son of Mary said: “O children of Israel! Indeed, I am the (Prophetic) Messenger of Allah to you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah,  and bringing good news of a (Prophetic) Messenger who comes after me, whose name is the Praised One [Muhammad]”...

Sura 3:59 "The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He (Allah) created him (Jesus) from dust, then said to him: Be. And he was." 

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is the eternal Son of God. His birth was foretold in the ancient Hebrew scriptures. The conception of Jesus occurred when the Holy Spirit of God overshadowed the virgin Mary. Jesus, Himself, said that He existed before Abraham lived. He said, "I AM" which is the name [YHWH] that God gave Moses to share with the children of Israel. And Jesus proved that He was "God in the flesh" by teaching with supernatural wisdom and authority, and by performing many healings and miracles, and even by forgiving sins.  And His followers testified that He is the Son of God! Even the Roman Centurion at the foot of cross said so!

“No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.”  John 1:18

Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18 NKJ

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22 NKJ

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. ² By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 1 John 4:1-3 NKJ

For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2 John 1:7 NKJ

The Muslim Jesus was not crucified for our sins! Allah judges according to His will. I've given a couple of examples below. No one can pay for another's sins so a Savior isn't needed.

Sura 4:156-159 ... That they said (in boast): 'We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.' But they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise.

Sura 4:17"Forgiveness is only incumbent on Allah towards those who do evil out of ignorance and then turn quickly (in repentance) to Allah. Toward them will Allah turn in mercy; for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom."

Sura 4;18"Forgiveness is not for those who do ill until death faces one of them, who then says, 'Lo! I repent now, nor for those who die as disbelievers, for such we have prepared a painful doom.'"

According to the Bible, Jesus was crucified and died for our sins.

“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”    Acts 2:36 NKJ

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3


The Muslim Jesus did not die and was not resurrected. The Muslim Jesus was caught up to heaven (like Enoch and Elijah) in his physical body, without dying. Islam teaches that he will return as Allah's prophet to assist the Imam Mahdi in uniting and ruling the world in the last days.      

Sura 4:156-159 "......Nay Allah raised him up Unto Himself....." 

Sura 3:55 "Behold! Allah said: O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme...

The Bible says Jesus was raised from the dead!

This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.  John 21:14 NKJ

²⁶ “Men and brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the word of this salvation has been sent. ²⁷ For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him... ²⁸ though they found no cause for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death. ²⁹ Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb. ³⁰ But God raised Him from the dead. ³¹ He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem... ³² And we declare to you glad tidings—...He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm:    ‘ You are My Son, today I have begotten You.’    And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption... ³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; ³⁹ and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.   Excerpts from Acts 13:26-39  NKJ

It is clear from these Quran and Bible verses that the Jesus of the Quran is not the Jesus of the Bible. This means Chrislam is a deception from the antichrist spirit and Christians should avoid this deception at all costs!

Paul said, "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed." Gal 1:8 NKJ
