God’s Word is truth! Genesis tells us God created, out of nothing, all that exists, in six days. It goes on to say, "This is the history of the heavens and the earth..." Gen 2:4

It makes no sense to believe that evolution is compatible with God’s Word. Evolution requires billions of years of mutations guided by blind chance and has no idea where the raw material came from in the first place or how life came from non-living matter. 

Pope Francis recently said, "When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so,"  

Take that statement apart. Is Pope Francis actually implying that reading Genesis could lead people to wrong conclusions about God? Is he really saying God has less power than a magician with a wand? Is he saying God is not able to do everything? If that is really what he thinks, he is serving the wrong God. And, that is so!

It never ceases to amaze me how far afield people can go with their grand concepts which are not scripturally based. To protect yourself from deception: Reread Genesis. Reread Psalm 33. Review the clear statements Jesus made about creation. Make sure what you believe is scriptural.

Creation passages are scattered throughout the Bible. They all proclaim that God is the CREATOR of all things in a short period of time. To say otherwise is to deny the authenticity of the Bible as God's Word.

Doubting and disputing God's Word is what brought SIN into this world.

Why do you suppose intellectuals insist on believing something as baseless and senseless as evolution? Is it because they are truly searching for reality? Or, is it because they refuse to acknowledge the Creator God to whom they are accountable.

Psalm 14:1 says, The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God."  It goes on to say, They are corrupt...  They choose to believe in a blind process called evolution because it cannot hold them accountable for their wicked deeds.

Believing God's Word is the only means of salvation.

All men sin. Jesus died for all men so they might be saved. Believe what God's Word says about salvation. Repent (turn away from sin). Trust in Jesus to forgive you and give you a new life. Be baptized in water to proclaim your faith in God. If you do these things, God's Word says you will be born again, filled with the Spirit of God, and empowered to serve Him now and forever!   

The Pope should withdraw his declaration that evolution is not inconsistent with creation. The Catholic Church should return to clearly taught Biblical Truth. 

Global Warming: A Heart Issue

If you are concerned about Global Warming and wondering what the Cap and Trade argument is all about, I'd like to share a few facts with you to answer some of your questions and encourage you to do your own research if you still have concerns.

First of all, let me start with some facts I found in a Wikipedia article on the "demonized" CO2 (carbon dioxide) which scares liberals "green" and makes them want to economically punish the world's industrialized countries.

"CO2 is an important component of Earth's atmosphere because it absorbs and emits infrared radiation ... thereby playing a role in the greenhouse effect."

"Natural sources of atmospheric carbon dioxide include
volcanic outgassing, the combustion of organic matter,
and the respiration processes of living aerobic organisms; (breathing)

man-made sources of carbon dioxide include
the burning of fossil fuels for heating, power generation and transport,
as well as some industrial processes such as cement making."

"Plants convert carbon dioxide to...OXYGEN... which is subsequently used for respiration by... (animals and humans), forming a cycle."

Check out this fact! "Over 95% of total CO2 emissions are natural.
For example, the natural decay of organic material in forests and grasslands, such as dead trees, results in the release of about 220 gigatons of carbon dioxide every year."

"In 1997, Indonesian peat fires were estimated to have released between 13 and 40 percent of the average carbon emissions caused by the burning of fossil fuels around the world in a single year."

Note: Huge fires regularly break out around the globe which can't be prevented, predicted or controlled. What can we do about that? Should we worry about it and "carbon" tax somebody? Before we panic, we should be aware of the following God provided solution.

"These natural sources (of carbon dioxide) are nearly balanced by natural sinks, physical and biological processes which remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. For example, some carbon dioxide dissolves in sea water, and some is removed by plants via photosynthesis. The Earth's oceans contain a huge amount of carbon dioxide in the form of bicarbonate and carbonate ions — much more than the amount in the atmosphere."

"Ultimately, most of the CO2 emitted by human activities will dissolve in the ocean..."

That means if the carbon tax is implemented, industrialized nations will be carbon "capped and taxed" for causing a non-existent problem, and third world countries will be receiving a transfer of wealth by selling their unused "carbon credits" to industrialized nations based on a bogus premise.

The CO2/Global Warming debate is another issue which divides liberals and conservatives. Many liberals  really believe we must take action to save the planet from global warming. And, they are, theoretically, willing to submit to economic ruin in an attempt to solve this "perceived" problem. (I say "theoretically" because I don't believe most of them really comprehend what the carbon tax system would do to our economy.) On the other hand, many conservatives believe global warming is a hoax being perpetrated on society by greedy, power hungry politicos like Al Gore.

Since 95% of CO2 is produced naturally, how can reasonable people really believe that mankind can make a difference by changing his ways? Is it likely that the 5% of CO2 produced by human activity could be the tipping point for climate change? If you were asked to devastate your family financially to pay for a cure which offered you a 5% chance of recovering from cancer, would you do it? Chances are even slimmer that the human race is causing and could, therefore, help cure a problem like Global Warming.

Even if the USA causes 25% of the 5% of emissions caused by human activity worldwide, that is only 1.25% of worldwide carbon emissions. Yes, 1.25%! And for that, the "greens" would have the middle class taxed to ruination and destroy our way of life. So far, our current economic slump has helped our Congress resist the Green Agenda, but, we need to be wise and diligent because the battle isn't over.

Please do an internet search on the Green Agenda if you haven't already. Al Gore and his ilk are behind all of this-- for financial and political reasons.

The Global Warming email leaks revealed how scientists were manipulating and falsifying data to support their global warming theory. If you get into the details, some scientists claim that the CO2 levels are increasing and causing global warming. While other scientists insist that temperature fluctuations are cyclical and there is no sustained pattern of warming. Some scientists believe solar flares are more likely causing the problem -- if there is one.  And since the sun warms the earth, that makes sense!

I have read much and listened to scientific lectures on the subject and there is no true consensus among scientists about climate change.

I think the big difference between greens politicos and conservatives on Global Warming boils down to religious beliefs. Environmentalists are more likely to believe in evolution and less likely to believe in a caring and engaged Creator God. For them, mankind is on his own, resources are limited and humans must fend for themselves in a cold, cruel world. Population growth is a serious threat. Fossil fuel use is dirty and dangerous. ETC.

On the other hand, Christian conservatives believe in a Loving Father, God, Who created the earth to be filled with His people. He created the earth with abundant and renewable resources such as water, plants and animals for the sustenance of all His creatures. He also created the earth with the capacity to produce fossil fuels to enhance our lives. And, He sustains the earth by "the Word of His power" as we gratefully and wisely make use of His provisions!

The Son (Jesus) is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:3 (NIV 1984)

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Collosians 1:17

I'm sure it sounds simplistic to the worldly wise, but all of the world's dire problems could and would be solved if the majority of mankind would turn from their sinful, unbelieving ways and would put their trust in God. He cares for us!

The climate is under His control!

Response To An Evolutionist

I’ve read Cosmos by Carl Sagan. I’ve read books by Stephen J. Gould and others. I just finished The Genesis Enigma by Andrew Parker which tells the evolutionary tale from the Big Bang to date.

Evolutionists speak of the universe in glowing, sometimes even worshipful terms. They are forced to use words like design to describe what they see, and then forced to deny a Designer– by their faith in evolution. They talk about the occurrence of the most intricate and improbable processes imaginable without having been implemented and directed by an intelligent, powerful being– and then give the credit to a non-entity called evolution and mind-boggling billions or millions of years– which no mortal can possibly comprehend. Time & non-intelligent ? = An Intricately Designed UNIVERSE and a Perfect Habitat for Mankind called EARTH (nothing else like it in the universe that we know of) and LIFE– in all its forms! That just takes more faith than I can come up with.

Humans are the most intelligent mortal beings we know of and they come up with some pretty impressive innovations. Being created in God’s image, I have no problem comparing their intelligence to the Creator of the Universe. Although it’s a minuscule fraction of God’s intelligence, it towers over “evolution” because evolution is non-existent.

Compassion is wonderful but it’s elusive if not grounded in a greater ethos connected to the value of human life as God’s image bearers. Someone has to define what compassion means in the context of daily living. Is it compassionate to kill someone who is in pain, whether they want to die or not? Or, is that simply convenient for society at large and perhaps for weary caretakers? Many questions could be asked about compassion.

I don’t believe God is male or female. He has no counterpart– and no need to replicate Himself. Since He created male and female in His image, He must have all masculine and feminine traits. He has chosen to use male terminology in relating to us for His own reasons. Guess we’ll find out when we get our other questions answered. It’s not something I worry about.

Biblically speaking, being the Son of God means Jesus is God like His Father. He said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father. I only do what I see my Father doing.” He came as God in the flesh so we could get to know God and better understand His love for us. The greatest revelation of His love being His willingness to die for us.

The Bible says the pre-incarnate Jesus created everything in the universe and currently sustains it by the Word of His power. Those universal laws we talk about are merely His consistent care for His creation. If He withdrew His control, everything would “crash and burn”.

The virgin birth is essential to His mission on earth. He chose a human mother so He would be human and His Heavenly Father, of course, means He is God. The mystery of being fully human and fully God is beyond us at this point, but with God all things are possible. Just as you don’t know how evolution works but you choose to believe in it, my belief in what God has revealed about His Son is by faith. I trust Him to know what He’s talking about.

He became fully human so He could suffer and die for us. He didn’t have to. He chose to.

The virgin birth was prophesied hundreds of years before He was born. The New Testament gives a detailed account of what happened. It states that Mary had not known a man, was informed that she had been chosen to bare God’s Son, accepted God’s commission, conceived when the Holy Spirit overshadowed her, and lived with Joseph without conjugal relations until after Jesus was born. His birth was accompanied by the Star of Bethlehem and Angels praising God and informing shepherds. It was followed by Magi from the East visiting and Herod the Great trying to kill Him. Besides all the miracles He performed to reveal His Godhood, the heavens opened on more than one occasion and His Heavenly Father spoke, saying, “This is my beloved Son…” After His death on the cross, the Roman Centurion said, “Surely this was the Son of God.” (I could go on and on.)  

Zoroaster is known to have had 2 parents. His virgin birth status was added by his followers after the fact.

The reason Joseph’s lineage is mentioned is for legal purposes. Jesus was a descendant of David with a right to his throne by blood through Mary and even by a legal relationship with his adopted father, Joseph. It also honors Joseph.

By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. Heb 11:3

It all comes down to faith. A command doesn’t take billions of years to manifest. If what we see did not come from anything that can be seen, it could not have evolved. If everything was good at the end of God’s creation week, mutations cannot have been involved in the development of life. If death entered the world because of man’s sin, nothing could have died before they sinned. How could nothing die in millions of years?

Either God’s Word is true or it’s not. Either Jesus is the Son of God Who created everything or He is no one to be concerned with. It all comes down to faith.

The enemy of your soul does not want you to believe the Truth. God does. 

Why I Am A Biblical Creationist

I am a Biblical Creationist. I believe God created the universe and life on the earth by His Word out of nothing in six twenty four hour days some thousands of years ago. Why? Because it is the clear teaching of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

Does the earth have an appearance of age? Yes. Did it have an appearance of age on the day it was created? Only in the sense that things were created in a mature form. By this I mean an adult animal would take a number of years to mature if it hadn't just been created as an adult. Adam and Eve would have taken years to reach the age they looked if they hadn't been created as adults. The same with plants and trees and the earth and the sun and the moon and the stars and the light traveling to the earth from heavenly bodies, etc.

Those who speak of a trickster God say the appearance of age in something brand new is a deception. They fault God for making it difficult to determine the age of something brand new and say He is, therefore, dishonest. My response is, "How can God be dishonest when He revealed His involvement in creation to us?" Yes, He created things mature and then He told us He did!

Evolutionists speak of billions of years because no one really relates to how long that is. It's so long, they think maybe anything could have happened in that amount of time. Really? Think about it, no matter when the first physical object came into being, it was in a moment of time. Nothing was there and then something was there. And, how did it get there? Someone created it. And, since God was the only One around and He told us He created everything we see, I choose to believe Him.

Every other voice that is raised to explain the existence of the universe and the beginning of life is guessing based on the evidence they see. None of those who push evolutionary theory can create anything out of nothing. None of those who promote evolutionary ideas can bring anything to life-- not even with their brilliantly created minds and working with everything else God has already created.

Science is supposed to be based on repeatable experiments. Evolution isn't based on science. It's based on fanciful arguments submitted by end time scoffers who refuse to believe what God has told us about creation.

I could talk about the complexity of the eyeball or polystrate fossils or the historical evidence for dinosaurs living among men, but unbelievers refuse to believe no matter what evidence is presented to them. Why? Because they deliberately choose to reject God's Word and everything that validates it.

Let's look at some excerpts from 2 Peter 3:2-15 in the NLT. The Apostle Peter is speaking to the church of his day and we need to be reminded as well.

I want you to remember what the holy prophets said long ago and what our Lord and Savior commanded through your apostles.


Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”

They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water.

 

By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. Heb 11:33 NLT

 

Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood.

 

God did not spare the ancient world—except for Noah and the seven others in his family. Noah warned the world of God’s righteous judgment. So God protected Noah when he destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood. 2 Peter 2:5

Note: Those same scoffers who reject Biblical Creation also refuse to believe in the flood. Again, though massive amounts of evidence support a worldwide flood and cultures the world over tell stories of a worldwide flood, these modern sceptics condemn themselves by rejecting God's Word. And the saddest part is that by refusing to believe what God has said in the past they render themselves incapable of believing what He warns us of concerning the future.

And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.

But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.

The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. ...

Since everything around us is going to be destroyed...what holy and godly lives you should live, looking forward ... to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.  2 Peter 3:7-13

Note:  Jesus, Who created everything to start with has promised to create a new heavens and a new earth where only the righteous will dwell. Won't it be wonderful then! Yes, I am a Biblical Creationist. I believe God created everything that sin has marred and He will do it again for our eternal joy in relationship with Him and all of the redeemed.

And so, dear friends... make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.  2 Peter 3:14

And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved.

Nietzsche's Insanity vs Faith and Reason

In my last post I talked about the true source of wisdom and understanding as stated in Job 28:28.

"The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding."

And today I add a warning from Paul. "Don't let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ." Colossians 2:8

We are living in perilous times.  Cultural influencers long ago forsook the fear of the Lord and embraced evil in the guise of high-sounding nonsense.

Ungodly philosophers and the so-called scientists, known as evolutionists, turned their backs on the revealed truths of Christianity and set about to change the world system by undermining truth and replacing it with their own ideas which were often influenced or dictated by evil spiritual forces.

They deceived themselves and turned their deceitful philosophies loose into society through books and lectures and foolish college professors who taught the nonsense to their adoring and unwitting students.

I've been reading Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton. It was written in 1908 and is a deep and rich source of information concerning the causes of the downward spiral of society over the last hundred years. Even in his day the spiritual rot was evident in England and he could foresee the cultural decline we are dealing with in the West today.  He said, "In so far as religion is gone, reason is going." How scary is that? (Contrary to what ungodly thinkers spout, Religion aka Faith and Reason go hand in hand and cannot be successfully separated for long.)

In Orthodoxy, Chesterton spoke of Friedrich Nietzsche and his "preposterous" ideas. Now, I'd heard of Nietzsche and was aware of the notoriety he gained by proclaiming "God is dead." But, I knew nothing else about him so I became curious when Chesterton mentioned how his life ended. He said, "Thinking in isolation and with pride ends in being an idiot. Every man who will not have a softening of the heart must at last have a softening of the brain." And that sent me into an Internet study of the man. And this is what I learned.

Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) was a German philosopher and philologist. He was the son of a Lutheran pastor. His father died when he was four years old and he was raised by his believing mother and other devout female relatives. He rejected his father's faith due to academic influences in his college years and became a lifelong rebel against Christianity. He then spent his productive years seeking to undermine the foundations of Christianity and traditional morality. He felt that traditional morality was okay for the masses but rejected the idea that one standard of morality could fit all persons. Thus, superior men are essentially a law unto themselves, and are free to be who they are.

"Nietzsche's atheism — his account of "God's murder" (section 125) — is a reaction to the conception of a single, ultimate, judgmental authority who is privy to everyone's hidden and personally embarrassing secrets. His atheism also aims to redirect people's attention to their inherent freedom, the presently-existing world, and away from escapist, pain-relieving, heavenly other worlds."  Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy

For all his high-sounding nonsense, he had no power to control his own circumstances in this life, much less, in the life to come. He was plagued with physical problems and held captive by philosophical deceit. His own pride would not allow him to yield to a higher power than himself-- yet it could not preserve him.

On Jan 3rd of 1889, he suffered a psychotic breakdown. He was only 44 years old when he lost his mind and he continued in "demented darkness" until he died on August 25th of 1900.

What a personal tragedy for Friedrich Nietzsche! And what a national tragedy for us today. Our colleges, even Christian colleges, are teeming with ungodly professors who indoctrinate unsuspecting students into these vain, anti-Christian philosophies. By offering them "freedom" from all moral restraint they lead them away in the chains of spiritual darkness.

Ungrounded young people are like dry sponges. They'll soak up anything you immerse them in-- especially if it sounds like fun and brings them temporary pleasure. Be on guard!

My purpose is that (you) may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that (you) may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that (you) may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. Colossians 2:2-4

The Mothers of All Living

I realize the title of this blog may sound a little strange because most of us, especially biblical creationists, would normally speak of the singular mother of all living, known in western culture as Eve. Don't let the title throw you off. I do believe in the biblical Eve, but the book I'll be quoting claims to have genetically proven that everyone living on planet earth today has descended from one mother through three maternal lines; thus, the title, Mothers of All Living.

The book I'm referring to is The Search for Eve by Michael H. Brown. This is not a Christian book. It is not based on the Bible in any way. The author merely uses the name, Eve, to draw attention to his book because he knows most people are aware of the biblical passage, Genesis 3:20, that says, "...Adam called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living." That's clever advertising. It certainly got my attention.

One Mother of All Living
According to 3 geneticists (Rebecca Cann, Michael Stoneking and Allan C. Wallace), who completed this study,"Mitochondrial DNAs from 147 people, drawn from five geographic populations (Asian, European, African, Australian and New Guinean), have been analyzed by restriction mapping. All these mitochondrial DNAs stem from one woman." (pg 23) Thus, "the geneticists had pinpointed a female who appeared to be the sole common link in our species...a nameless, faceless, great-grandmother..." to us all. (pg 204)

Biblical creationists want to rejoice at these words. Not because they need proof of God's Word, but in hope that the scientific affirmation of God's Word might have an affect on unbelievers. However, evolutionary scientists do not intend to confirm God's Word even when the evidence does. No, the author simply explains that they believe there were many other mothers besides "Eve" but "Eve's" children are the only ones that survived. When the proof is lacking, you can always make up another story-- or should I say theory?

One Race Filled the World
One of my pet peeves is the use of the word races. When asked about my race on a form I write "Human." My skin color may be light because its melanin challenged but I'm definitely human. And so is every single God created human from Adam and Eve's day to ours-- no matter their level of melanin. We are all descended from the same parents and are members of only one race.

From their research, "the geneticists were also saying that there had been no distinct races until after much of the world was settled." (pg. 36) Yes, the world was settled by the descendants of one couple so there were no distinct races in the world. And, still, there are no distinct races. Races are just man made groupings of people based on skull shapes, color and ethnocentric beauty standards. And, because those groupings are used to express superiority and inferiority, such divisions are immoral.

The actual people groups of the world are based on language more than anything else. God separated people by language groups at the tower of Babel and the separation limited the gene pools and led to distinctive ethnic characteristics in skin tones, skull shapes, height, body type, hair textures and colors, etc. No group is innately or inherently superior to the others. We are one species. We all share the same blood and we can mate. Enough said.

All Living People Come from Three Maternal Lineages
Now we finally to get to the reason for my blog title. Another geneticist, Douglas Wallace, said, "What we’re basically finding is that there appear to be three maternal lineages that are giving rise to all the different tribes we’ve looked at so far." (pg 314)
For biblical creationists this confirms another biblical truth. According to Genesis 9:19, "These three (Shem, Ham and Japheth) were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated." We know these three men had three wives who would be the three maternal lines descended from Eve and mothering all future inhabitants of the world.

I hope, if you were not aware of this research, you have found this enlightening. It should encourage believers and hopefully give open minded searchers a reason to look further for the truth about our origins and our destiny. For, if you recognize who your earthly mother is, you may then want to acknowledge your Heavenly Father and find eternal life with Him. That's my prayer for you!

Instantaneous Creation Out of Nothing!

We are living at a time in history when evolution is trumpeted far and wide. Our schools use textbooks which call it a theory but teach it as an unassailable fact. Teachers, college professors, and even scientists are censured and excoriated if they question its validity at any level. Museums are filled with preposterous exhibits purporting to display factually accurate depictions of the evolutionary development of animals and even "homo sapiens." And, the media is saturating our society with the "billions of years" lie of evolution.

These times remind me of David's lament in Psalm 11:3, " When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Well, he doesn't advise us to head for the hills or to keep our mouths shut. The contextual answer is we can remember that God is in charge and He is watching. Therefore, we need to live righteous lives and trust Him to deal with the wicked in due time. And, the practical answer is, we can continue to stand on and share the truth revealed in His Word. And, in that light, I want to talk to you about God's Good Creation.

The Universe Was Spoken into Existence by Jesus

In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:1-3

"...by (Jesus Christ) all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him." Col 1:16

First, notice who existed prior to creation. John says, "in the beginning" (the starting point in eternity for the creation process) the Word (Jesus) existed. He existed with the Divine and as the Divine. The eternally existing Divinity dwelt in the Perfection He had in Himself. Nothing had been created so there were no angels, good or bad, as yet.

Next, John and Paul both testify that Jesus Christ created all things! All things in heaven and on earth. All things seen as well us unseen! All things inanimate as well as animate- including all powerful beings, mortal (human) and immortal (angelic).

By faith we understand that the universe was perfectly fit together by the spoken word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Heb 11:3

Notice the connection between faith and reason! "By faith we understand." It's not that we merely have a hope or a theory. Since the universe is a single, intricately designed unit, wherein every part operates in an orderly fashion as it is governed by ordained physical laws, we have evidential reason to firmly believe that it was created by a powerful, intelligent Being.

And, a Being powerful enough and intelligent enough to create and govern such a magnificent universe is surely capable of revealing Himself to us and telling us about His creative activity; which is exactly what He did. Thus, "by faith we understand" that Jesus spoke everything in the universe into existence. He said it. It's demonstrably reasonable. I believe it.  That's faith! And that's loving God with "all your mind!"

No random process could have caused the intelligent design we see throughout the universe. No random process could have created the laws governing the universe. There are no missing links. All reasonable, un-tampered-with evidence, points to the truth revealed in God's Word. There was nothing but God and then Jesus spoke and everything came into existence as He called it into existence.

In a matter of six days God created a mature, fully functioning universe including the angelic beings and the earth and all its life forms with Adam and Eve to rule over it. God's revelation to us in this verse alone completely voids any claim concerning evolutionary progressionism wherein the things that we see are supposed to have evolved from primitive matter to a more complex state over a lengthy period of time.

 This verse says the things which we see came into existence instantaneously out of nothing according to the spoken command of Jesus.

For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Exodus 20:11a

The Angels Were Spoken into Existence by Jesus.

Praise Him, all His angels...all His hosts...sun and moon...all stars of light...heavens of heavens... waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created. Psa 148:1-5

Christians often speak as if they believe Satan has been around a lot longer than mankind. They imagine that he and myriads of angels were faithfully serving God for eons before God created man. They even suppose he must have fallen before Adam and Eve were created. I say, according to the clear teaching of scripture, they need to think again. These misconceptions demote man from his unique position as God's original image-bearer and heir- the very purpose of creation. The universe was created as man's habitat. The earth was created to be his home. Angels were created to minister to "the heirs of salvation."

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit? Heb 1:14


Unlike the special, personal, creation of Adam and Eve as individuals by Jesus, Himself; notice that all these celestial creations of God were created on command. Their creation was instantaneous and impersonal. He spoke. They came into existence.

Also notice when the heavens and angels were created. In His discourse with Job, God asked him, "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"  Job 38:4-7

In the beginning God created the heavens (atmosphere, outer space, God's place) and the earth. ...So the evening and the morning were the first day. Gen 1:1,5

Since the angels 'shouted for joy' when God 'fastened' the foundations of the earth and 'laid its cornerstone', they must have been called into existence by God early on the first day of creation.

God's Creation Was Completed and Very Good on the 6^th Day.


Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Gen 1:31

Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. Gen 2:1-3

Note: God says everything was finished in six days. He didn't just get things started and then let things evolve, they were perfectly formed and functional. He even placed mating barriers between species to maintain their physical integrity. (Barriers- not links!) And since God said that everything- including the heavenly host- 'was very good', it clearly means Lucifer and his followers could not have fallen yet.

This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens... Gen 2:4


The Word of God tells us His Story about His Good Creation! And, no matter what other voices declare otherwise, we can rely on His veracity. This is our true foundation.
