When Bill Nye, not really a science guy, debated Ken Ham, the Creation Scientist, on February 5, 2014, Bill Nye kept saying creationists have no predictions to make concerning the natural world which could undergird their Biblical beliefs. I found his statements audacious and ludicrous and in need of a response.
Modern science developed precisely because curious Christian men made predictions based on a Biblical worldview and found that their theories could be successfully tested repeatedly and would yield consistent results. They knew this was possible because the Creator God had instituted and enforced patterns of behavior in nature which came to be called natural law. Without "natural law" one would find only chaos. There would be no reliable method for making and testing predictable outcomes; and thus, no modern science.
I would like to share some of the predictions a Creationist could make based on a Biblical worldview which are contrary to what an evolutionary scientist would expect to find. This is not a comprehensive list.
A Creationist would expect to find:
A level of predictability in the universe which makes scientific research and discovery possible(universal laws instituted and enforced by God which govern natural processes).
Abundant, renewable natural resources "created and provided" for the sustenance and enjoyment of mankind and the animals (right when they needed those resources to survive).
Monogamous, male/female, marriage as the cornerstone for most cultures throughout history.
Disorder and death brought into the universe by mankind's fall into sin.
Evidence of a worldwide flood which includes sea shells and fish fossils in the highest mountain ranges worldwide, as well as, flood stories from diverse cultures around the world.
The Grand Canyon and other huge ditches dug by the quick run off of massive amounts of water following the flood.
Polystrate (through many strata) fossils, (such as trees) trapped in layers of sediments laid down quickly by the flood, not laid down over millions of years by evolution.
Massive coal and oil fossil fuel deposits created by the quick burial of forests and vegetation by a worldwide flood.
A fossil record which contains only distinct and functional individuals of various species. (No transitional forms. No partially developed forms. Certainly, no part-animal, part-human fossils.)
Cats, dogs, rats, bats, elephants, whales, cows, kangaroos and other kinds of animals which have distinctive features and cannot interbreed because God separated them by kind.
Dinosaur fossils and even fossilized dinosaur footprints in the same sedimentary layers as human footprints. (Like those found at Glen Rose, Texas.)
So called "Living Fossils," such as the "ancient frilled shark" which evolutionists say hasn't evolved in 80 million years! (All creatures were created during the week of creation. Some species have died out but no new species have been added and no living creatures are more ancient than any other.)
Remnants of Giant humans. (Mostly hidden away in the world's great museums.)
The entire human race as one race with a common ancestor. (Genetically proven today!)
That the blood from an individual in any people group worldwide could be received by a person from any other people group in the world-- as long as they share a compatible blood type. (We are family.)
That human blood is distinct from animal blood. (Because humans are not animals!)
Similarities between humans and animals because we have a common Creator!
Abundant evidence for a young earth, such as, our current population. (Far from being overpopulated, the earth is practically empty.)
Abundance of natural resources. (We've barely scratched the surface).
How quickly coal, petrified wood and stalagmites are formed in the right conditions.

Creationists have a clear advantage over evolutionists when it comes to making successful predictions because they know the Creator and He told them what He made.
