"Most Americans (54 percent) continue to say that churches and other houses of worship should keep out of politics. It’s the third consecutive poll conducted over the past four years in which more people have said churches and other houses of worship should keep out of politics..."

Pew survey: Americans think politicians are talking too much about religion
P.S. I personally have never seen a church or house of worship get into politics. Meetings in black churches have historically been used by Democrats to garner votes and pastors across the religious spectrum sometimes express opinions concerning current events and political issues, but churches and houses of worship don't get involved.
If these complaints are actually being aimed at religious individuals who get involved in politics, that is going too far. All American citizens have a right to speak out about their political beliefs. Nowhere does our Constitution seek to limit the freedom of religious individuals or groups in expressing their views and goals for our nation. It does, in fact, forbid "prohibiting the free exercise" of religion in our nation.
As you can see by the poll numbers in the article, it is the Democrats that continually seek to limit the freedoms of other Americans with whom they disagree. That is not a liberal policy, nor is it progressive. I'm not sure what they should call themselves next.
Let Freedom Ring!
